/Two of Cups: Every celebration has a shadow. Every grief has an interior joy. What we study becomes us, so best choose well to what ends we put our attention. An offering is not a promise, which is why we look each other in the eye when we lift a glass in remembrance or rejoicing. What have you been offered, and what did you promise the world in return? Here’s a practice: pour yourself a chalice of something delicious and bring it to the mirror. What can you look yourself in the eye and celebrate about your existence today?
